Luca: This is me and Nico at the theatre. We were in a city called Pompeii. Pompeii is famous because a giant volcano ruined everything there and now it is rusty and all in ruins.
Nico: That's an ancient old movie theatre and that's why it looks like the Colosseum. The Colosseum is a place where people called gladiators used to fight other people and things like lions and tigers. So, that's all ruins.
Nico: That is the city of Pompeii.
Luca: Do you see all the broken statues? I didn't really like that.
In the background you might be able to see a famous mountain called Mount Vesuvius.
Nico: Mount Vesuvius is the volcano that exploded Pompeii.
Luca: That was inside people's houses back then.
It looks dirty, right?
Nico: I turned up the light because it was really dark down there, because I really wanted you to see how beautiful it looked.
Nico: That's another room in someone's house.
Luca: I think that's also a dirty house.
Luca: These are some ancient ruins.
One of them has a bird on it. I think they are pretty cool too. But I think they can also be pretty dirty.
Nico: They are cool and dirty, Luca, but they are also stories people used to carve on the walls.
Luca: I know, Nico.
Nico: That's a frozen in ashes baby but you can't probably even see it.
Luca: It died in the great explosion.
Luca: This man of frozen ashes also died in the great explosion.
Nico: That man, as you can see, is covering his face but it turns out that was a bad idea because he couldn't see the lava coming towards him and he got hit.
Nico: That dog I don't think is a dog, I think is the baby.
Luca: This is a dog that died in the explosion, and people thought it was the saddest part. Now, I think it is the saddest part too.
(Mom: Why?)
Luca: because dogs are the cutest out of a dog, a man, and a baby.
Nico: That's what we ate for lunch.
Luca: I kind of liked it. We also ate a bunch of pasta and beef. The beef had mozzarella stuffed in it.
Luca: That's us at the Pompeii train station eating popsicles.
Nico: If you can see, you can probably see that I have a brown popsicle and Luca has a pink one. If you don't know what flavors those are, Luca has bubble gum and I have Coca Cola.
Luca: That is a great view from our hotel in a city called Sorrento.
Nico: We even had a pool at that hotel, but that's the only pool hotel we had.
Luca: That's us at dinner at sunset.
Nico: I had delicious spaghetti with clams, and the first thing that came was a platter of seafood in a little cool basket so we ate that first. Then we moved on to Luca's food and my food and mom's food.
Luca: I also got a big plate of grilled squid, and mom got tomatoes and mozzarella.
No Pictures:
Luca: It was very fun on our last day of Pompeii and first day of Sorrento.
Nico: Blaboo.
