Day 2: The great day!

Luca: we ate some great pudding.
Nico: It was called creme brulee.
Luca: It was kind of hard to eat because I didn't know it was hard sugar that you have to crack with a spoon.
Nico: I'm great.

Luca: We took a church tour and that was the first church that we went to.

Nico: This is a picture of Saint Matthew.
Luca: That picture is very famous.

Nico: Somebody stole the penis of this statue.
Luca: I thought that you weren't allowed to do that. He buried it in his garden!

Luca: these are some flowers at a church.
Nico: The flowers in Rome were pretty beautiful!

Luca: This is a huge dome that was very cool to me.
Nico: It is not a real dome. It is a painting.
(Mom: It is trompe d'oeil.)
Nico: I took a picture of daddy sitting on a bench in a church.
Luca: I think he is waiting for a painting to open up into something famous.
Nico: it was a different church.
Luca: I do not think it was a different church.

Luca: This is a very famous tomb.

Luca: That is a dead man but it could be a sculpture.
Nico: I'm pretty sure it is a sculpture.

Nico: That is a picture of something on the ceiling.
Luca: When mommy told me about it, I thought that was impossible to make. I freaked out because mom said that the curved edges were just paint!

Luca: The painting that I wrote about earlier opened up and turned into something very famous.

Luca: We were eating at a gelato place.
Nico: the gelato good was not as melty but it did melt.

No Picture
Nico: Luca had clams and I ate a big plate of pasta. It was pretty good pasta and clams.
Luca: Not only Nico ate a whole plate of pasta, but I ate a whole plate of mussels and clams. The clams and mussels were pretty good and I dipped my bread into their sauce after I finished.
I really liked about Day 2 that it was a great day and the dinner was very good.
