Happy half-Birthday Luca

I can't believe how quickly time has flown by, Luca is now more than six months old. To show ourselves how far he has come, we took pictures of Luca on his six month birthday (June 14) wearing the same outfit that he came home from the hospital in. Here are the pictures from when he is just 2 days old....

I can't believe how much he has grown and changed in what feels like such a short period of time. I wish I could push some sort of pause button so that I could really savor all of these moments---in the rush of getting things done and waiting for the next milestones, I'm feeling like I haven't done enough to commit to memory just how special every single day is. I feel so lucky to have such a beautiful baby, and Luca has really made our house into a happy home. Thank you, Luca, for the past six months. Happy half birthday from your mommy and daddy, who love you more than anything!

We're just back from our trip to Williamstown MA for mommy's 10 year college reunion. The travel was very tough, but it was worth it to see the campus, old friends, and new babies. Some fun pics...

Month 4 Highlights

Sorry that we haven't posted in a while. Life is crazy busy. Luca is already 5 and a half months old!! Here are some highlights from Month 4....

Luca had been struggling to learn how to sit up on his own:

We are crazeeee first time parents...and decided to get canvas as a shrine to le Luca in our dining room--We love it!! (Thank you Judith!) I think he is not so sure....







Also got his high chair--as you can see, Luca has been expectantly waiting for solids. Video of his first taste to be posted soon...

Mother's Day was a bit non-traditional for me, as I got clobbered by a stomach virus that kept me in bed all day. But Luca (and his daddy) were gems....and obliged me by being very mellow and snuggly in bed all day!
